Savills IM Names Investment Chief For Australia, Says Raising Exposure In Country

Savills Investment Management, the international real estate investment manager, has appointed Lee Tredwell as head of investment for Savills IM in Australia, part of plans by the firm to increase activity in the country. The role is newly-created.

Tredwell has 15 years of experience in handling various transaction and investment activities in the commercial real estate space, including acquisitions, underwriting and financing through to active asset management, redevelopment and disposals. To date, he has been involved in more than $2.2 billion of capital deals, Savills said yesterday. It gave no further details about his previous roles.

"Lee’s appointment is in line with the firm’s plans to increase its exposure in the Australian real estate market by enhancing its local presence, which was first established with the opening of its Sydney office in May 2016," Savills said.

“The scope and depth of Lee’s investment experience in the commercial real estate space is invaluable to our expansion plan in the Asia-Pacific region. Lee’s appointment serves to bolster Savills IM’s presence in the Australian real estate market, where we are looking to tap investors’ increasing appetite for offshore real estate," said Kiran Patel, chief investment officer, Savills IM.
